NW Gainesville 3 boys (3 years, 1 year, 8 months) and a step-mom and step-grandma, too! |
OK, well, I swore I'd never do it, but I broke down this weekend and bought the book, "Everybody Poops". Because that's our last potty-training hurdle right now, and I'd really like to get this over with before his summer time program starts. So everyone wish DAD luck, as g'ma and g'pa are keeping the babies all day tomorrow, so hubby can stay home with the big boy, ALL DAY, and, a-hem, work this problem out (hopefully)!
Oh, ick, ick, ick, ick, ick....I swore I'd never buy that book! |

haha! A co-worker gave me that book when I was pregnant with my first son. I think it's funny! My boys will occasionally pull it off the shelf and laugh

HAHAHA that's a funny title. I hope it helps. I can't imagine potty training a boy. Yikes!

I am on my 3 year old's last diaper and need to go to the store today to buy more. I am so ready to be done with the diaper stage! Almost 7 continuous years of diapers (and a lot of that time I had 2 in them at the same time!) I seem to put it off until they are beyond ready so it will go quickly (kind of like ripping a band-aid right off rather than slooowly peeling it off). lol!

Oh, yeah, last night was a lot of fun, talking to the three year old about the "special project" he and daddy will be working on together today, all alone, just the two of them. He had some real funny comments and questions about it. He seemed to get the idea that sharks and crocodiles and alligators and "mean, mean fish" live in the toilet water, waiting to get his...well, you know whats. We put a pull-up on his life-size bear, got out "the book", had a long talk, and then I got to leave for work, haha. I'm going with Suzy's advice and if he poops in the potty today, Daddy is supposed to have big boy call me here at work, call big brother and big sisters, call all the g-ma's and g-pa's, and we're all going to floor him with praise. I bet my co-workers can't wait.
So I'm just waiting now to hear the good news! What has my life become...I'm waiting on a phone call about poop! |

Okay, so what's the update on this? That is too funny about the "mean fishies." Where do kids come up with these things? LOL.

Well, after a long morning of success at #1, when they broke for lunch, dad asked him if he needed to handle his business and he said no. Dad made him try, and he handled #1 no problem. Dad was preparing lunch and turns around at one point and big boy is running towards the bathroom, but didn't make it in time.
My precious baby called to tell me he had an accident and he wanted a bunny rabbit. I know...that's what I said. "What?" Turns out his dad promised him that when he mastered #2, we'll get him a bunny rabbit. Men. Now, however, after days of such constant talk of potty training and #1 and #2 and bathrooms, my son is obsessed and last night, at church dinner, he kept asking people if they needed to go to the bathroom and was it #1 or #2. You solve one problem, you create another. |
