Well, we have been attempting to slowly replace my son's bottle with a cup, and we have been making some progress. And you know what I realized? We are going to have a new baby here in four weeks or so. I have a feeling that there will be some regression as soon as the new baby comes. What do you think?

I would guess yes, but then you can always start showing and encouraging all the "big boy" stuff that the new baby can't do and that there are something that go along with it. Make it a package deal so to speak.

He is 18 months old

At 18 months he may not understand much and will probably regress some. Mine were not that close in age, so I am not sure what tips to give. Only that you may just have to say no with attempt at anything else. Other than that, I am not really sure.

What I did with Dalton is I would give him juice in his sippy cup and in his bottle realy watered down juice, which he didnt like. That seamed to help him a lot.
