An operator of a so-called "Booty Camp" in suburban Chicago has a claim that will astonish parents of droopy-diapered toddlers everywhere. Give her five hours, she says, and she'll give you a potty-trained toddler.

I may end up trying this....our success has backslid in recent weeks due to illness and house renovations....gotta "Git 'Er Done" by September 1 or else he can't go to school!

I was having no luck in this dept. When my son was three, I was ready for the diapers to be history. On the advice of a friend, I took him underwear shopping and we stocked up on his favorites (Spiderman, Superman). He wanted to wear them immediately! He told me he would not pee/poop in his new underwear. He was literally trained in less than a week! We have only a couple accidents..now if we can give up the over nighters!

Well we've been training my 3-year-old for going on six months. We still have to remind him to go throughout the day, or else he forgets. I may have to check out this one-day deal -- it sounds very tempting.

My son was potty trained during the day by 18 months and at night by 2 years and I worked full time. I don't understand the problem nowadays. I started sitting him on the potty shortly after he could sit up well by himself. Lots of praise helped. Maybe we should go back to cloth diapers. Not having to wash nasty diapers is a great incentive to get kids trained. Oh, and he didn't have any mental problems because he was trained young as some people like to use that as an excuse. He's a very intelligent college graduate, works as chemist, happily married with a son of his own.

I'll have to check that out! My two oldest were both trained when they were 3 years and 4 months. My youngest is now about that "magic" age. I've been trying to with him, but he just doesn't want to. I'm not too worried, though. When it happens, it happens. I just want it to happen NOW! lol! I'm burned out of changing diapers/pull-ups/poopy underwear for almost 7 years non-stop. haha!

It's so funny I saw this today as my husband, who we have recently decided will be a SAH Dad if I get the job at SFCC I've applied for, woke up this morning with a "genius idea for potty training." He's decided that regardless of whether or not our son (yet unborn) needs to go, he will stick him on the pot and put his hand in warm water so he gets used to going there. LOL! Is this funny to only me?
