The rest of the night was actually restful! His nap time today, was another story. He fought me on that one. Do you think this is a bad time to begin potty training?

I did start potty training my son when I was on maternity leave with my daughter. I had to b/c he was starting preschool in two months. However, he was 2 1/2 when we started. But since I was home with him all day anyway I decided it was worth the effort. To me the hardest part of potty training is going out in public. I read the "Everything Potty Book" it's a really short easy read that gives you four different approaches to potty training. You can decide which one best fits your child and your lifestyle. It worked great.

What gave me the idea was buying diapers times two...lol! The price of diapers was the motivating factor. That, and we're home with him anyway so figure, may be worth a shot although maybe we'll wait for a little while due to the recent transition. Has anyone ever tried the book "Toilet Training in Less than a Day?"

OK, this will give you the chills...we've got 3 at home in diapers. Well, the oldest is in pull-ups, but yeah, it's ridiculous. We tried to potty train our (then) two year old last year, in the spring after our second son was born, but that didn't go over so well. He still can't conquer pottying a) at night or b) anywhere but home and grandma's house. And because I hate grocery and household shopping so much, I tend to go only about once a month and really stock up, coz I hate to run out of stuff. So we have an entire wall in the extra bedroom at our house that is the "diaper wall"...stacks and stacks of boxes of diapers and wipes...pull-ups and nighttime diapers for the 3 year old; size 4's for the one year old; and size 2's for the baby-baby. And since that's the changing table room, too, everyone that comes to our house calls it the "diaper room". I'm a living commercial for Pampers. Heaven help me.
