Gainesville 4: Boy (9), Girl (7), Boy (22 months), Boy (5 weeks) |
Hey! Thanks for asking!
It is going well, actually. Although, he still prefers one side and since I have not been good about pumping (probably b/c I only have one of those manual pumps) then it seems like I am producing way more on the side he likes. But the good news is that he seems like he actually prefers BF'ing to bottle feeding, which makes me happy. I go back to work in 2 weeks and then I'll have to figure out the pumping thing... |

My daughter still prefers the right side!!!
You may want to start pumping like a week before you go back so that you build up a nice supply. When you begin pumping it starts out slow and I wish I had started earlier than I did!! I hated my manual pump!! I bought a Gerber $35 pump from Walmart it uses battery or the plug. It does make noise that is the only down fall but it didnt bother me! I couldn't afford those expensive pumps so the cheap one worked great. When you get a pump just pump on the side that he doesnt like that much that way you keep your supply up. You are still early in the BF'ing and still establishing how much milk the baby needs. I am so happy that you are doing better!! It really is a great bonding experience and much better for them. |
