So is Boo at the Zoo on October 31st? We are looking for something to do with our 18 month old daughter that she can enjoy and not get too much candy.

I called the Zoo this morning, so I could also let the Alachua COunty Mamas know. They aren't charging a fee to get in..just can goods.

Although it is actually $3/child instead of $4 like I said earlier.

Thanks for looking into it Kristin! I would love to help the Ferrero Foundation if I'm able=-)

Hey Casmly - The $4 admission is just to visit the zoo on any normal day, just to clarify. Boo at the Zoo is just canned goods for admission. Smiler (Sorry your previous post says it was edited. It wasn't! I accidently put my reply info into your post instead of hitting the little "quote" button!)

I might just have to meet up with you it would be nice for Boo at the Zoo. I am trying to figure out if we are going to try to take her to the Safety thing today. We just can't decide but I brought her costume to work.

Yay! I'm glad I was wrong about the fee. I apologize for the confusion. I was trying to look the information up and came across a site that was reporting the fees. Sorry!

I think it's awesome how these places are using donations as fees. That's how Screaming for Safety was last night - 2 cans of food per child or $2. What an awesome way to collect food for those that need it!

Hello everyone! I just wanted to take a moment to express my sincere gratitute to those who made our event last night possible. Without your families, our event would not have been. I just want to say thanks so much to those who came to Screaming for Safety last night at Safety City. And for those who were not able to make it, I hope we get to see you next year. I really hope everyone had a good time. I tired to get around to see/ meet everyone, but things were busy.

Again though, thanks for coming out and we hope to see you at further events. Thanks for your support, and if you have any suggestions for next year (change in time, day of the week, things to do), PLEASE feel free to email me at
gonzalezkk@cityofgainesville.org or call me at 352- 334- 5065 (office).

Also, I got a lot of pictures during the costume contest, so if you would like me to email you with your childs picutre, please email me their costume, age, and what you were wearing as verification. Safety's number 1.

Thanks again, and be careful out there. Halloween is the single most deadly day for pedestrian accidents for children 0- 14 years old!!!
