I was reading the paper and realized there are quite a few movies out for kids right now -- "Kit Kittredge: An American Girl," "Wall-E," "The Chronicles of Narnia," "Kung Fu Panda." Is anyone going to the movies over the long weekend? Has anyone seen any of these and would recommend them?

My hubby and daughter saw Kung Fu Panda and LOVED it...my daughter actually wants to see it again! My hubby says the bad guy was a little scary for younger ones...but my daughter didn't mind him.

We have been thinking about making this our 3 year old's first movie theater movie...do you know if it was quick paced or kind of slow? My little man can't sit too long unless he's really interested....I know we will take our daughter, but I was kind of hoping to take both...

I didn't see it but my girls said that there wasn't alot of dialoge throughout the movie but that Wall-e ,the robot, is constantley doing things and interesting enough for a three year old. There were some smaller kids behind them around 3 to 5 years old and they seemed to enjoy it. Nothing scary in it. They said it's easy to follow along too. Hope that helps..let me know if you take him and if he enjoys it!!

My daughter is 2, and I would love to take her to a movie but don't know if she is old enough to sit through it. She has seen a longer movie at home, but it might be totally different if she can't move around at all in a theater. How old were your kids the first time you took them?

We've seen WallE and Kung Fu Panda!
My friend told me that his boys broke a lamp within 20 minutes of being home after seeing Kung Fu Panda because they were doing their karate movies in the living room.

The Wife and I went on a date and saw The Hulk. I thank my lucky stars she's not into Sex & the City. not nearly enough smashing and property damage in that for me :-)

My husband and I do 'dinner and a movie or two movies sometimes' and last month we saw 'Iron Man' and the new Indiana Jones flick. Indiana Jones was good but Iron Man was awesome. Last time we went we saw 'The Happening', it wasn't great (wasn't bad either)but I did get to watch Mark Walberg for 2 hours Wink
