The entrance fee to get into Kanapha Botanical Gardens is free this weekend and I also saw that Littlewood Elementary School is having their carnival on Saturday.

Thanks for the tip Kristin! We were just talking this morning about going to the butterfly exhibit, but may wait and go to the Gardens instead. Has anyone ever been? Did your kids enjoy it?

There is also a DNA LifePrint Child Safety Event begin held at Duval Motorcars (3525 NW 97th Blvd.) on Saturday from 9:30 am - 2:00 pm. The flyer I picked up states that you will receive for FREE an FBI Certified Biometric 10 digit fingerprint profile; a high resolution full color digital photograph of your child; a child safety journal to record vital information about your child; and a home DNA identification kit. The best part if there is no data basing -- everything is handed to you and the sponsors keep no records on file (no spam or junk mail to deal with).

No one wants to think that something awful can happen to their child -- but if the awful does happen . . . having his/her fingerprints, DNA sample and other vital information immediately available for Law Enforcement can greatly increase the chance of a quick recovery of your child.
