Sorry, I should have checked the Florida schedule before posting.

Thomas was cruising in Florida during March & April of this year. He's not scheduled to be back in 2008.

Thomas has come and gone from Central Florida, but you can still get a fun train ride. The place that accomadated Thomas, the Inland Lakes Railway, has a variety of train rides, including meals in a dining car. Website is below.

I've taken my son to the Lakeland Railway for Thomas, and it's wonderful. I highly recommend it. It generally comes once or twice a year to Lakeland, as well as Pensacola I believe. If you sign up for their listserv, you'll receive an email before tix go on sale to let you know when they are coming to your area.

I know it isn't a train ride, but Toys R Us has monthly Playdates focused around thomas. They have Storytime, Coloring, wooden Train Table, Free Thomas Trading Cards, and coupons they give out.
There next one is Sept. 13

We've taken our two older boys to Lakeland and had a ball. We've also been to Dillsboro, GA and that was fun. It's a quaint little historic town located in the mountains.
http://www.ticketweb.com/thomas.html has all of the "Day out with Thomas" dates in all of the states. It looks like one is coming up soon in Cordele, GA, that's about 3 - 4 hours north on I-75. Definitely worth the trip for the Thomas lovers.

I agree...Big A would love it....the only thing that could make it any better for him would be if Scooby Doo was riding Thomas the Train, LOL! Even Middle A is getting into Thomas, so let me know if it pans out into a field trip anytime soon! Thanks.
