Does anyone know anyting about where you can go to ride Thomas the Train? I heard there is somewhere a few hours from here that gives rides on Thomas..? I think my daughter would get a kick out of that.
Thomas has come and gone from Central Florida, but you can still get a fun train ride. The place that accomadated Thomas, the Inland Lakes Railway, has a variety of train rides, including meals in a dining car. Website is below. http://www.inlandlakesrailway.com/
I've taken my son to the Lakeland Railway for Thomas, and it's wonderful. I highly recommend it. It generally comes once or twice a year to Lakeland, as well as Pensacola I believe. If you sign up for their listserv, you'll receive an email before tix go on sale to let you know when they are coming to your area.
I know it isn't a train ride, but Toys R Us has monthly Playdates focused around thomas. They have Storytime, Coloring, wooden Train Table, Free Thomas Trading Cards, and coupons they give out. There next one is Sept. 13 Here's a link to more info http://www9.toysrus.com/our/tr...008ThomasSplashPage/ Daphne

We've taken our two older boys to Lakeland and had a ball. We've also been to Dillsboro, GA and that was fun. It's a quaint little historic town located in the mountains. http://www.ticketweb.com/thomas.html has all of the "Day out with Thomas" dates in all of the states. It looks like one is coming up soon in Cordele, GA, that's about 3 - 4 hours north on I-75. Definitely worth the trip for the Thomas lovers.
I agree...Big A would love it....the only thing that could make it any better for him would be if Scooby Doo was riding Thomas the Train, LOL! Even Middle A is getting into Thomas, so let me know if it pans out into a field trip anytime soon! Thanks.
