I wanted to start a topic of kid friendly restaurants. My hubby and I love to try new places to eat and continue to do so even with our new baby. Right now she still tends to sleep through the meal, which is wonderful so we take advantage of it!

Anyway, lately we have been going to La Fiesta and they are always very nice, even if sometimes Ellie wakes up and cries a little. Their booths are usually wide enough to put the carseat on the seat. I've also seen large groups of moms and children there.

Anyone else know of other kid-friendly restaurants?

We've been to Gator's Dockside for kid's night...I believe it is on Tuesday nights...it was pretty good...they have kids entertainment and the food is good. I heard a commercial today for a restaurant that is doing kids eat free with an adult Mon-Thurs...I'm trying to find out which one.

Will you let me know when you find out? I hadn't seen that commercial, yet.

I'm pretty sure it was Napoletanos (spelling?). I haven't heard it again...I'm going to have my sis keep an ear out too.

My parents love La Fiesta. My parents go there so much they know the owners and their family. (It's one of those frequent friendly customer relations type thing)
Besides McDonald's I don't really know any kid friendly restaurants. We just don't frequent them that much. For us it's more of a treat, not a normal thing. It would probably be different if we live closer to Gainesville though.

Satchel's is the most kid friendly place I have been to yet, they have a play area, the junk shop in the back and if you sit inside there is a toy area with a play kitchen and lots of stuff to keep the little ones occupied. The really cool thing is they have a mirror set up on the back wall of the inside play section so if you sit in the right seat you can watch your child in the mirror without having to leave the table!

I'm not sure about the ones in Gainesville... but the Beef O'Brady's in Alachua is great for kids. They have a Tuesday night Kids Eat Free as well as an arcade with a drawing area. Their meals are easy to pair with fruit and veggies. We like it!

We like Napalatano's on Tower Road, Emiliano's (outside seating) located downtown, Moes (the kids LOVE it the best) and Neroes located on 34th next to Weecycle.

We like La Fiesta, too. My brother worked there while he was in college, so he always hooked us up with tables and free desserts. Chick-Fil-A is a quite kid-friendly, as is Cracker Barrel (I order the kid's veggie plate and it feeds both boys).
