My husband's co-worker was going to a baby shower where, for a gift, many of the women put their money together and purchased two week's worth of these meals for the expectant mother.

It was the second or 3rd child for the parents so she was not in need of many clothing items, blankets, etc. But they KNEW how exhausted and busy she would be with the baby so they thought a combined gift of prepared meals would be most welcome. I thought it sounded wonderful.

I love to cook (I wish during school/soccer sessions I had more time for it, though). And if I am going to eat someone else's prepared food, I want to be in a nice setting being served and treated as a queen
