A couple of us work while our husbands stay home. I wonder if any of the dads would be interested in a weekly playgroup?

I'd love to get my husband out of the house with the kids and he does get them out, but I think it's be great if there were other guys he could meet up with.

I tend to take my girls to the park 4 or 5 times a week. So name a time and place, and I can probably be there. I know my 3-year-old needs some kids to play with!

I usually go the Kiwanis park off of NW 39th. But Westside and San Felasco are also fairly close. This town is awesome when it comes to parks.

As for WHEN we go to the park, it varies. Late morning, a lot of times, but other times in the afternoon or evening. It all depends on the energy levels of the little demons. :-)

My hubby is usually home during the day (he works at night) or all day on Wed. and Thurs. and he would enjoy meeting other dads. We live near the Kanapaha Park off Tower Rd. and usually go there. They have a nice covered picnic area and plenty of walking trails. Of course, our baby is only 3 1/2 months old so she can't play in the park yet but he'd probably like to have some guys to talk to since he's outnumbered by girls at home Smiler

I am home during the day and I have a 10, 7, 2 and 7 week old. I would meet up with your hubby at the park on tower road and other guys if they choose.

I would def. say 'we don't segregate' they can join us... make it a co-ed playgroup, the more SAHD's the more co-ed! But I can see the need to have your own thing Smiler

Kanapaha is by far our fave.. with all the different amenities (area to fly kites, soccer, playgrounds, big swings for relaxing/sitting, roller skate track, covered picnic areas, and on and on and on)

OK, I live on the other side of town, to answer me this question -- this Kanapaha park you all are referring to, is this the same Kanapaha park that requires that I pay five or six bucks to get in?

I have a 6 month old and a 3 year old, both girls. The 3 year old is completely bonkers for running and climbing, and can keep up with boys 2 years her senior. So it should be fun.

Kanapaha sounds good to me, buddy. Lets work something out for next week!

Any other dads out there want to join in? As the kids say, just holla back!
