I thought this article was very interesting -- it means that if I lived in the Bay Area of California, then as a stay-at-home-dad the value of my services would be well over fifty thousand dollars.
What do you all think? Is it just charging an excessive amount for no good reason? http://www.nytimes.com/2008/07/05/business/05nocera.htm...ink&exprod=permalink |

That's just crazy. I too had heard that Google was one of the best companies to work for because of all its benefits, including on-site daycare. Maybe not?
Day care is a tricky thing though. I pay more for day care than I do for my mortgage. But I love the place and trust them completely with my children. Can you really put a price on that? |
