Hey, does anybody have any ideas for exchanging coupons, like a coupon club or a swap, or anything? I am the ultimate coupon queen, but there are some even I don't use, and I hate just tossing them. My nearby family members aren't much on coupon-ing either (wish I could get them into it...I saved $114.00 dollars this week, between shopping BOGO's and my coupons)! I never thought much about it until last night when I realized how many I was throwing away because they had expired!

Whaaaat? You saved HOW much? You know, I have not been clipping coupons just because I never seem to find the time. However, I may have just found some motivation! So, I think you are on to a good idea. How would we do something like that? I am certainly interested. Any ideas?

I have clipped coupons once before, but I forgot about them. I think I will start remembering. 114 bucks! Hello....That is great. Working only part-time, that will help us out a bunch. We just came from the grocery and spent $110, and that wasn't even a full list. I might even invest in a coupon organizer wallet.
I must add that we did save $7 with the BOGO offers. Smiler

Yes, $114.00. Now mind you, that is with BOGO, and my coupons, but I spent about $160.00, and saved $114.00, so my bill was almost half of what it would have been otherwise! I usually use the money saved to go into our family vacation fund...$114.00 is a night in a very decent hotel room! So yeah, ladies, it's worth clipping!

Suzy, I know you had posted something about the possibility of future monthly get togethers, after the picnic in June. Perhaps the monthly get-together could also include a coupon swap? Just an idea, but I'd be happy to bring along the ones I know I won't use.

Do you shop just in one store or was that at different ones? Which grocery store do you shop at? We tend to always go to Publix since it right by our house....they have some good BOGO offers..

Publix, mostly, sometimes it's Albertsons. They also have a lot of "Publix-only" store coupons.

I know that on Freecycle, I have seen people offer coupons. And what happens is that someone will post the offer with the coupon or type of coupons, and then the person interested will send a Self-Addressed Stamped Envelope to the person with the coupons, and that person sends them to the interested person. You would have to feel comfortable enough with the person making the offer (and vice-versa) to give your address out, so keep that in mind.

ALSO, if you have items you want to sell, get rid of; if you are looking for a specific item, the CLASSIFIEDS is a good place to post it. I will add coupons to the section if anyone is interested.

I'll leave that section up for a few weeks. If no one is interested, I'll simply take it down. But, I'm always game for coupons!
