I had a friend photographer take some -fantastic- photos at Kanapaha Gardens down Archer. So many areas to choose from, we favored the candid photos of our oldest (when he was a baby) checking out the flowers, sniffing etc... I believe there is a small fee to get in but WELL worth it.
I need to get back there |

I don't know if you are familiar with the town of Hampton, just outside of Starke, but there is this field there. It is right on the highway and the people don't mind you stopping. There is also a field like that if you are going on State road 100 between Keystone Heights and Palatka.

thanks freyja...I'm going to go check it out this weekend and see what is there to take pictures....
jetrmomof2- so you took those pictures in two total different locations? how recent was that? I guess if I'm going to do it, I need to go do it now, yes? I've never seen so many beautiful wild flowers like that. I really want to go take some pictures. I will try out both this weekend. Anyone care to join me if you wish some family or individual potraits? Safe hugz, Dee |

Hampton is South of Starke. The road is off of 301. I am not exactly sure the name of the road but it is the one that runs right through the middle of Hampton. Maybe 225. You veer off of 301 onto this road to the right. It is about a mile past the Alachua/Bradford county line on the Bradford side.

Hi Dee;
I just posted my three girls pictures I took in a wildflower meadow in Chiefland last week. Jennifer is the darker haired girl...Amy is blond and smiling and of course Lacy...my three year old. I love wildflowers and had been seeing that meadow for about two weeks telling myself to go take some pictures...I am glad I finally did !!! |

I can't come tomorrow
I must have taken 50 pictures and my 3 year old picked a bouquet...I bought big frames and made a collage of the pictures under purple matting and pressed some of the actual flowers in it too. Gave one to my mom and mom in law for mothers day...they both loved them!!! Be sure to post the pictures if you get some!!! |
