NW Gainesville 3 boys (3 years, 1 year, 8 months) and a step-mom and step-grandma, too! |
Is it just me, or does India seem to have a lot of children born with these peculiarities? Wasn't there a 4-legged, 4-armed baby from India recently in the news?
Check this out. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/24012024/from/ET/ |

That is EXACTLY what I thought when I heard this story. I wonder, what's up with that?

Well, I raised this question last night at dinner and the comment was made that it's a lack of decent health and medical care in India...but aren't there many, many countries lacking quality health care? And still, it seems India always has these oddities...and they are always worshiping these children as the reincarnation of whatever. Puzzling.

I agree. Why aren't children in Africa being born with two faces, 4 arms. Is intermarrying with family members common in India? That would be the only thing that I could think of, because I think that if it were strictly lack of medical care, these babies would be dying like those on Africa...not necessarily being born with two faces, four limbs. It really is interesting. I wonder what our medical field thinks about it.
