So, I have a problem I need help with. I have a friend who lives in MO and her and her families houses were destroyed by the tornadoes that happened the day before Mother's Day. Well, I am trying to help her get some pull ups/diapers and stuff (they have gone to the shelters but all they have had is small diapers). I have her address but the post office is holding her mail since they are in a hotel (her house is completely gone) so I can't just mail them. I tried calling Walmart and asking if I could purchase things here and have them picked up at the Walmart there and they said no....
I have also emailed the local Red Cross but haven't heard back...
Any ideas?

Why not purchase a gift card, sot hat they can get whatever they need. find out where she is staying at-address and see if you can mail it to there. she has to be picking up her mail, no? yes? if so then go ahead and mail it to her home address. but confirm it first.

I think with the gift card, even from walmart, then they can get whatever they want and whenever they want. But confirm a mailing address.

You may also want to confirm to send $$ by Western Union too.

I agree with dee, send small letter sized things like gift cards to the motel. Western Union is a good idea also.

I know that Walmart and some others will allow you to order some things online and pick up at store, you could trick the system and set it up for pick up at the walmart near her.

I just saw Amazon.com advertise that they deliver groceries now. Diapers was actually one of the things featured in the commercial. I don't know how expensive it is but it might be worth a try.

You can also send moneygram. You can send money online and have it picked at any walmart. All they need is the confirmation number.
It's cheaper than western union.

Thank you all for the suggestions....I think I am going to send her a gift card and hope she gets it quickly. They haven't been able to get all their mail yet but I believe it will all get straightened out soon.
