Ha ha ha, anyone else just feel completely overwhelmed?!?!?!?!?

There is so much going on, SO many details piling up and making the days longer, I am just not sure how much longer I can stay sane!

It has been just over 2 weeks with no sleep (darn molars-baby), getting farewell phone calls from my dying grandfather, my mum moving far far away and adopting another child, and I was just told that letting the kids eat withing 2 hours of bedtime could be keeping them up and down all night (omg, I suck!!!), we are so random with schedules (day to day events) GAH it just piles up so thick, higher and higher. All just details, no biggie right?

Well I spose I just wanted to vent a paragraph or so and leave the rest for an autobiography or something.

But the stupid question is, anyone else just feel

C O M P L E T E L Y - O V E R W H E L M E D?

(silly question at 2am I know)

Oh my gosh. This has been my week. I've been on a million HUGE deadlines. I am juggling a million things in my head and I have been so overwhelmed, waiting for this weekend so that I can breathe a little. I will be happy when it gets here. Yes, I think we ALL feel you.

I agree with you both, this has certainly been some week. I've had 2 air conditioner repairmen in, have had a realtor over twice to discuss putting the house on the market. Dropped hubby off at the airport yesterday so that he could move in with his aunt in Gainesville and start his new job on Monday. And today, I have to have the house spotless for the realtor to film a virtual tour tomorrow while I'm gone with the kids visiting my mother and grandmother. I'm so tired by the end of the day these days that I feel ready to drop. And of course I have the constant tugging at my shirt..."Can you read me a book, can you play with us." UGH!

Oh thank goodness, I thought I was in the Twilight Zone, living in some sort of mother marathon with no bottle of water. ha ha ha~

I talked with a few family members and it seems this is the week for tough weeks. It has been spread around...

So good thing I am not crazy, and it really is just an overwhelming week for all.

Oh, I'm so with you...3 kids, all three sick at various times and to varying degrees over the past two weeks....took 2 days off from work around Memorial Day, and my sub at work...didn't do any work, so it's all piled up on me when I return....3/4 of my house is having new flooring installed, so all of us having been living, full-time, in just the playroom and the master bedroom and the back deck...can't get to the kitchen to cook! DH had to be gone overnight one night and has another overnighter coming up...yeah, it's been a rough couple of weeks, and the heat outside does not help my mood at all! Calgon, take me away!

I'm right there with you, too. It seems like life hasn't stopped going since I became a mom. Some days I love it, and the rush is very energizing. Others it's completely exhausting!

On another note, my regards about your grandfather, but congrats on adopting another baby!

First of all, its not a stupid question. Its a valid and justifiable question.

For some mothers, it is very exhausting and overwhelming. It does NOT make you a bad mother. It means you are doing your job as a mom.

Remember, you are not only a mom, but you are your children's first teacher, nurse, doctor, friend, etc...etc... as well. So you are doing a multitask job.

So...it is ok to have a deserving time off on a regular basis!

Wow...can I relate...we've had quite the week as well! Hubby was home sick yesterday (almost like having 3 kids Wink Logan got whatever he has..he's all sniffly and gross....Then I had to run out to Target and Publix...so I got Caeli some popcorn chicken from the deli...well apparently, it didn't agree with her and she was up vomiting until 11! Then, of course, I couldn't fall asleep...so I was up until 4am...ACK! Oh and hubby just told me he has to work on Saturday..woohoo...

You women are all amazing. We have to deal with so much and are asked to handle the world and then some with grace, patience, and genius (all while being slim, wearing the perfect outfits, and having our makeup just right and our house clean regardless of what time the in-laws decide to "drop by") A mom told me yesterday that women are "the glue that holds it all together." That includes our relationship with our partner, our children, perhaps our career and our home. This is understandably overwhelming but we can all do it--we will never be perfect, but we will still be amazing and you all are.

Well...I deal with alot everyday, but it has just has become part of life for me, so I don't really feel the stress anymore....Ask me that again when October comes and I have 5 assignments due in the same week for school, the kids want me to help them with a Halloween costume, to take them to the fair, working, as well as assisting with Cub Scouts for my son and running my daughter's girl scout troop. And did I mention that I will also be helping out with my kids starting 4H as well?

And Ha! My daughter thinks we can fit cheerleading or ballet in there also and my son wants karate! Ha! Ha! I love them dearly, and I know that they don't understand it all, but they are crazy! LOL

I REALLY miss the baby/toddler stage Big Grin

wow good to hear it is not a feeling gone unnoticed from mother to mother.

Today I found out my step dad might have colon cancer and everyone is pretty sure I had an ATI(mini stroke) but everything is inconclusive... oh boy, I can't wait till this week is over.

Totally overwhelmed here too!!! K started regular daycare this week so every morning I have been an emotional wreck..... and this morning we woke up to find that all of our vehicles had been broken last night! The worst is that my camera was stolen out of my car..... with all my pictures on them - it's those irreplaceable things that really upset me.

We might need an additional Mom's night out this month! LOL Smiler

Perhaps the overwhelmed like company...I just feel so much better reading these posts Smiler I also work a very stressful full time job and have two toddlers. I see other mothers out and about and they seem so much more in control than I feel. I often look at them and wonder if they are thinking the same thing about me? I think we probably all have our inner turmoil.
