I haven't gone yet, but I plan to go this afternoon. Has anyone gone? How were the lines? Is there anything I should remember or need to prepare for?

My mom went this morning, and her name wasn't on the registered list. She has been a registered voter for over 30 years, and somehow her name just disappeared. Luckily, they got it all figured out, but I know she was pretty late to work.

Fox News is showing long lines all over the country and a few glitches already in Florida - will we ever get a break in an election?? Nothing major so far but the day is young. This is another reason I prefer absentee ballots, I voted 3 weeks or so ago, from my couch. Smiler

I went this morning and there weren't any lines at all. I was there with hubby around 7:45. They had a bunch of machines set up so there was absolutely no waiting. It was great! I heard that about 60% of registered voters in Alachua county had already voted as of this morning. So I'm guessing that as long as you go during the day today, things won't be too bad. Maybe a rush tonight before the polls close? Who knows.

Me and my husband went this morning. We got there at 6:50 am and there were a few peoplpe in line but they really tried to get you in there quickly. I was the 2nd person to cast my vote this morning at our polling station. My husband was the sixth. My daughter tried to help mommy. I asked her who she thought mommy should vote for and she said cookie. She is 18 months old, we just wanted her to see the process.

Well I vote in Union county. And when I got there, at about 4 there wasn't a line and I was able to get right in. Then it only took me a minute since I had looked at my sample ballot and researched the meaning of the amendments and the positions of the candidates.

I'd just like to add that it makes me very proud to vote and I get a really good feeling afterward, today was no exception.

I hae absolutely no wait to vote! I was in and out in minutes.

I think the short lines may have been because such an unusually high number of people voted early.

I felt so proud wearing my "I Voted" sticker today!
