I recently got back into scrapbooking. I used to do it quite a bit before I had my daughter, but I just kind of stopped when everything got real busy with the new baby. Now that my baby is 2, I regret ever stopping. I have two years I have to cover now!

Nonetheless, I am having a blast going through her baby pictures and catching up. Does anyone else scrap, or is anyone else interested in starting? I'd love to get together with a group and scrapbook. I think it would be fun to share tools, ideas and good stories.

I think that's a great idea. I have two years worth of photos for my older son and almost of year of stuff for my younger son -- so I'm way behind. But I've got a few supplies that I wouldn't mind swapping, etc. I try not to buy more than I need, but I always end up with some extra. Let's see who might want to get together and maybe we can plan a night in the coming weeks!

I have TONS of supplies, and about 3 different scrapbooks that I am working on, and I'm also about 2 years behind. I wish I could get back into it, and a time with some other adults w/o children sounds GREAT! Being a work-at-home-mom, I hardly ever get out, so I would be very interested in meeting up to do this if it's on a weekend or weeknight/evening.

I love scrapbooking!! I know its been a topic we have here. I have 2-3 I'm working on myself.

Although my grandniece is only 4 y/o -I have taught her how to scrapbook. She loves doing it with me. She has even learned what to save to use in scrapboooks (emblishes).

I want to finish my mother's scrapbook and my grandparents. I think I have enough photos to do so.

I also like scrapblogging (online scrapbooking)-its easier to share with family and friends from a distance.

there is also a program I would like to get where u can create a beautiful scrapbook and they will print it up for you for about $26, and put it on a CD for u too. I think u can also add video to it.

I think one Saturday we should have a scrapbook party. Finding a place is the the key. I don't mind hosting a scrapbook party at my place in the near future if anyone is interested-unless we can find a big enough place for more than 5 persons and all their scrapbook supplies.

I can check with the Pink Flemingo (Oak Mall Plaza) and see if they would allow us to use their room. Unless someone who is a church goer has a rec room their church will let us use.

I have loads of supplies, plus what I have digital (needs to be printed up).

I find scrapbooking to be a relaxing and entertaining hobby to do.

awesome! I'm glad to hear so many people are interested. And at least it sounds like we are all pretty behind Pink Flamingo would be a great idea, Dee, if they would let us use their room. I would be happy to host, but I really don't have enough table space.

We'll have to iron out the details in the next few days, see what works for everyone, and then we can get started!

Count me in...I'm way behind as well...about 4 years.

I can check with my church to see if we could borrow or rent a room, maybe on a regular basis, perhaps? I'll post here with what I find out.

I am going to call Pink Flamingo today and see what I can find out about using their room to scrap.

I put in a call last week, but I have not received a reply yet, I'm guessing thanks to Fay last week. And yesterday at church was just chaotic...I'm going to email them today, right now in fact....I'll let you know when I know.

Sorry Stacy, that was one of my errands today to call Pink Flemingo and time just was not enough for me.

Were u able to contact them? I know there is one Saturday they have a class there. Not sure which Saturday. So if there can be another Saturday and maybe for about 4 hours was going to my request. Maybe they can teach us a few things along the way?!

I called Pink Flamingo today, and we aren't going to be able to meet there. The room isn't available to anyone right now, and she said things are up in the air about future availability...

Like I said before, I'd love to host, but I really don't have much table space at all!

And I'm still waiting on a call back from my church...but at this point, with a return call so badly lacking...I'm guessing it's not going to work out for using a room there. I'll update when I hear something.

Hey, I finally found out exactly who I need to speak with at my church, and am now awaiting a return call from him..also was given the link to the website to request a room, but I need to know the day(s), date(s), time(s), and numbers to give so they can check to coordinate. Are we looking to make it a monthly or bi-monthly, or weekly event, or just an "every once in a while"? I'll need that info to fill out the request form. Speaking for myself, Mondays and Tuesdays are bad, and certainly for the church itself, they can't loan or rent out a room on Wednesdays or Sundays. How 'bout either Friday nights or Saturdays? Everyone chime in and let's see what we can nail it down to.

My MIL scrapbooks on Friday nights at the Pink Flamingo. I've never been but she is usually doing pics of our baby and she is an expert. She would be a great one and that is a good place to go I've heard. Maybe I'll come one day if you want Stacy...

I suggest we do it either bi-monthly or quarterly on a Saturday and for about 4 hours (2 hours is way to short when you are having way to much fun!)

its to bad Pink Flemingo won't let us, but hopefully someone will let us use a room. I'll be glad to host one Saturday too. Maybe we all can take turns hosting.

I also suggest if we do this that perhaps we do a bag lunch or a potluck.

Mary - I called the Pink Flamingo and they said the room was unavailable right now...I'm not sure what that was all about.

Yeah, I think every other month would be great. Would a Saturday morning be good for everyone? Maybe like 9 to 1ish or whatever...?
