2-year-old daughter |
I think the day is coming for me to buy a new computer. My laptop is only 3 years old, but it's been having some problems lately, like everything turning bright blue!
I'm really not looking forward to buying a new computer. This might sound crazy, but I really like my computer! I know where everything is, my pictures, documents, programs, all of it. But I dont know how much longer I can hold on. So what compuer do you all use? Any suggestions of good computers? What about computers that aren't so good? Also, do you think a laptop or desktop is better? |

They're a little more expensive, but we've been so happy with our Mac notebook. My mom and Dad both have PCs with Windows Vista, and they're always complaining about how slow they are. We've had our computer for two years now, and we've been happy with our purchase!

A tip if you decide to buy any Apple product, check out their list of refurbished items. You can find some really good deals.

We will be getting a macbook and and iMac when ours get replaced. Everything you need comes installed on the iMac and while they are a bit more expensive, in the long run they are worth it.
Avoid Vista like the plague!! |

I have a Gateway laptop and love it. However, it is nearly 3 years old now.
Hubby is an IT geek and is also really in to the newer Macs. He was never a Mac person, but lately has fallen in love with their new products. Especially their notebooks. |

We have a MacBook and we love it. We are going to replace our desktop with a Mac as well.

I have a HP laptop which came with a Vista -which is ok but not as good as an XP.
I've never been an Mac person either, but I keep hearing alot of good things about it. So the next time we have some type of money, we may go there. Tim does have a Dell laptop he got last year as a gift from his uncle, but its having problems with the wireless. I think what you need to do is just "window" shop either at stores or online and really learn what type of computer you want. Once u have that puter, you can always transfer what you have on your current onto the new. (or start doing back up nows). |

Wow it definitely sounds like Mac is the winner. I've heard great things about the computers but have always been hesitant. I have worked on a Mac before, but I am much more familiar with a PC. However, it sounds like I might need to rethink things. Thanks for all the advice. I will definitely be looking into a Mac now.
