Who do you use for a mechanic? We need someone who we can trust with both of our cars and we've run into some shady mechanics in the past. Don't want to repeat that...

Being a woman, this is more true than not, I have been taken advantage of.... that is until I got married. My husband and his dad know A LOT about cars and over the years if there were anything they didn't want/have time for/wasn't sure of doing with their cars, they always called the same guy. His name is Tom and he is an at home service. He use to work at a shop and started his own business going to peoples houses, work, wherever and fixes their car right there.

He does fantastic work for cheaaaaaaaaaaaaap, because he isn't overcharging.

When I first got my car, I seem to always be a victim of over-priced repairs, even when I got second and third opinions. When I moved to Florida I was in 7 accidents in two years (3 times sandwiched between cars and 4 times rear ended) each time I dished over a thousand dollars. I shudder to think how much money I made for those shops.

This guy Tom is fantastic in all areas, but my basis for comparisons are the worst LOOOL I do believe it has been around 10 years or so they have been using him. And he has an adorable basset hound he brings with him
