Gainesville 4: Boy (10), Girl (7), Boy (23 months), Boy (3 months) |
Hey guys! So, Happy Fourth of July! What is everyone up to? Here is to everyone having a happy and safe holiday celebrating our great country. I know times are hard these days, but I am still so, so grateful that I live in such a wonderful country, where I am free!
And I am definitely a patriotic mom! I think it is important to teach the kids about out country's history. What about you guys? This message has been edited. I do agree that we live in a great country. It is easy to point out things that could be better about it. However, after traveling to other countries, I was so happy to be back to the US and grateful for this wonderful country. I did manage to dress the kids in red/white/blue last night. We talked about the flag and how we fought for independence. My DS was very interested in the history lesson!

Very much so...as the daughter of two Army veterans (one a Vietnam war vet) and step mom to an Iraqui war Air Force vet...you bet I'm a patriotic mom! God bless the USA!

I think at this point in the war, almost everyone knows someone who has served in the Middle East. I believe that if my loved ones would sacrifice so much to be over there, then they must be fighting for something pretty amazing. And that's exactly what our country is -- even with all the bad news that seems to be facing Americans each day -- AMAZING. To second TripleA, God bless the USA.
