Just a couple of days ago my 3 year old saw a PBS show called "Boobah" At least, I think thats the name of it -- almost the entire show is done is a crazy high-pitched gibberish, and I can't make heads or tails of it.

Has anyone seen this show? Its from the makers of Teletubbies, and features these weird fat little larval-stage things in various colors who dance and chatter. It's certainly kid friendly -- the color schemes and bright lights have a mesmerizing effect on kids. I'm also told it's educational, although I can't figure out how. I watch it with her briefly, and it strikes me as one of those shows that can bring on epileptic seizures.

What about any of you? What are the weirdest, most bizarre kids shows your little ones enjoy?

My son watches the "Backyardigans." I know they're popular, but I think they're weird! "Bunnytown," too.

Were TV shows this strange when we were all young? Actually, thinking back, why was I not terrified of Rainbow Brite and the Purple Pie Man?

Teletubbies (SP) and Barney are totally weird. Kids love them though. What does that say about these little creatures AKA children?

I can't stand BooBah...they are WAY too creepy. Plus they never talk!
Probably the weirdest thing my little man watches is Yo Gabba Gabba....nothing like seeing Elijah Wood doing the Puppet Master dance...if you haven't seen it...you should...it's hysterical!

My little one watches Backyardigans, Dora, Franklin. The weirdest one she enjoys when she catches it is Wow Wow Wubbzy.

I may be dating myself but the weirdest show I remember was a show call HR Puff n Stuff or something like that. My sister is 4 and a half years older than me and she LOVED that show. I remember I thought it was just okay....

Boobah is weird. Why do they have to make fart noises?? We caught in the doctors office wating room once and I vowed to never watch it again. Yo Gabba Gabba is pretty weird, but the kids love it (the puppet master is pretty darn funny) and DJ Lance has the oddest outfit I've seen in a long time. Wubzy is a fave too. But strangely enough, MY kids love Scooby Doo. That's what they always ask to watch. I don't think that's weird as much as funny that it's lasted as long as it has.

Okay.. I know Im closer to 30 than I am to 20.. But I LOVE Yo Gabba Gabba. I will get up and dance with the boys. I put all the music I could find from the show on my Ipod and I will totally sing along even if Im by myself.
I cant help it. I know that makes me a dork. Hahaha
The most random thing my kids watch, lately, is "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy." Its something Zak (5) has watched with daddy since it came out. He loves the aliens and the robots.. My 2 year old is also starting to fall in love with it.
I mean, thats great and all but I dont know how to make their ro0m "marvin the robot". Hahaha. AHHH
With any luck, they will have really fun personalities when they are older, right?

Chowder, definitely Chowder. My daughter loves it but I can't stand it. I usually tell her it's time to go play if it comes on. I don't want to ban it necessarily, but I may have to if we still get it in our new apartment.

YO Gabba Gabba is a weird little show... but I like it, too. its strange but infectiously fun. what I like to call "good weird"

Chowder, on the other hand, is just weird. there's too much gross humor
