MY cat decided she would stalk a nest and bring me a gift. I found a baby bird in between her paws (and on my porch.) So, now I have the bird in a shoebox that's in a cat carrier (so my cat - or 2-year-old, can't get it.) I have no idea what to do with it. It's just a baby and possibly hurt.

So, the bird did okay overnight and is just hanging out in the shoe box. I did manage to track down a number for a rescue group that handles wildlife. I am waiting for their call back...

Awe! My dogs have brought me several baby rabbits over the time we've been at this house. And my cat brought me a Chipmunk last year. We've never been able to save any of the rabbits, it's rare for them to survive in nature too. The chipmunk wasn't hurt thank goodness, so after the kids got to see it, we released it.

Good luck with the bird. I hope you receive a call back soon.
