My parents always did this. I don't know how to explain it but yesterday my hubby and I spent the afternoon napping and listening to the rain. We watched a movie and went to the evening church service and instead of getting the usual, "My your face is getting full," and "Honey you look miserable." I got comments about how beautiful and rested I looked and how I glowed. I'm telling you...if it's raining and it's Sunday make a bee line for the BR...it's even worth hiring a Sunday sitter!

I LOVE Sunday afternoon naps!!! My family makes fun of me.

A perfect Sunday is cinnamon rolls for breakfast, Sunday morning church, big ham Sunday dinner, lots of family over, everyone helps clean up and then...they leave...and I take a nap!!!

I love, love, love Sunday afternoon naps. Of course, I love Saturday afternoon naps, and weekday afternoon naps (when I'm off from work). They do wonders for your outlook and attitude!

OMG, what IS it about Sunday afternoon naps? Really? I love 'em. And though I would love a nap anytime (just a concept for me here, it'll never happen) there is something special about Sunday afternoon naps, isn't there? Softballmom is right about Sundays...church, brunch, family and then a nap on Sunday afternoon to ease us all back into the next week. Perfect way to end the week!
