I don't want to be a total downer but I just really needed to share this....I am a member of anothe mom board...cafemom and I have been following the story of a little boy everyone called Super Nick. His parents lost a baby to a genetic disorder 2 days after he was born and then last year Super Nick was diagnosed with leukemia. He had been doing really well...until a couple of days ago...they thought he had a cold and things just went from bad to the absolute worst. His story is here if you want to read it:

Even though I don't know this family, I have been following it for so long I feel a connection to them and it has really put things into perspective for me. I really feel like life is so short and I'm so lucky to have healthy kids, a roof over our heads, and to be able to be home with them. They still make me nuts sometimes but I think from now on, I will really try to appreciate everything a little more...hugs to everyone! Smiler

I've been doing the same thing with a new blog I just started reading last week. http://cfhusband.blogspot.com/search?updated-min=2008-0...%3A00&max-results=50

This lady just went through a double lung transplant last night!!! She has a premie in the NICU and has not been out of the hospital for 3 months now. It's been amazing to read the story and add my prayers throughout the day.

Awww..thanks for sharing these blogs with us. They are hard to read sometimes and make me so grateful for all of the things I have in my life. Makes me re-think most of my silly complaints throughout the day...

I will take my runny old nose anyday! No more complaints here! We just need to count our blessings everyday.
