Have you ever auditioned or applied?
If you could be on one game or reality show which one would it be? I was just watching Millionaire and was getting them all right! I used to want to do Amazing Race with my hubby before we got married because we were so active and athletic together. My Gram can still guess the Wheel of Fortune puzzles when there's like one or two letters up...makes me so mad! LOL! |

Ok...don't laugh...I auditioned for Start Search when I was like 14 or 15. It was an older version of an American Idol type show. I competed locally for about 7 weeks but never got to the California TV stage of it. I actually lost to a girl that didn't sing nearly as well as another girl I was worried about competing against that had become friends with me. We both knew it had to be one of us not both so we became friends and promised to bring the other one along with us. Then the night the 'other' girl won,(and it really was rigged...they judged by applause, not judges and this girl brought like 50 people to clap just for her!!), there was a guy that came into the ladies room and gave me and my friend a bouquet of roses and said he had been to all of our performances and told us how great we were, it made us feel good.
The show I would LOVE to go on now is 'Don't Forget the Lyrics' hosted by Wayne Brady> |

Oh I like Don't Forget the Lyrics! Except I would be so bad at it! My husband always knows all the words when we watch it.
I don't really know what my top pick would be as far as reality shows go. But has anyone ever seen Wipeout? Watching it from the comfort of my couch, I think it looks pretty fun. But I bet you could really get beat up on that show! |

Ok. It just hit me what I would like to go on - Dancing with the Stars. I would love to learn how to ballroom dance.

So am I the only one who feels like the way many of my days/weeks go, I just might be on a reality TV show and simply being put thru my paces for the amusement of others?? I know there is just no way that a normal life goes like this, surely there is someone off camera calling the shots to my kids....right???

Definately Don't Forget the Lyrics. And The Price is Right. I would rock on that show. And I wouldn't wear a tube top

"Dancing with the Stars" would be fun. Then probably "Jeopardy!" Although I think I would have done much better on that show B.C. (before children). It seems like once I gave birth, all my knowledge of literature and history went out the window!

LMAO- that's hilarious! If we count game shows then I would want to take my Mother In Law's purse and go on the old Let's Make a Deal - no matter what he asked for, she would have it in that purse!! Now that I am a Mom, I am getting almost as bad! A couple weeks back I was making dinner and the hubby was watching Jeopardy in the living room but I could hear the show and I was kicking butt, knew all the answers even in categories I normally don't do well! I was so proud of myself until I walked into the living room and saw it was a "Teen Week" episode... |

I think I would do pretty well at Jeopardy, although I'm sure it's harder come up with answers in front of a live studio audience than from my comfy chair. And to be honest, I usually don't do very well at Final Jeopardy.
I doubt anyone remembers this, but there was a short-lived gameshow called "Beat the Geeks" that involved trivia about movies, tv, comics, and music. There was a show I could have sunk my teeth into |

Nate, isn't there a new one sort of like that now? I think called 'Outside the Box' or something? I would do well with TV and movie trivia as I have tons of useless trivial knowledge floating around in my head. Working in a video store for several years helped that! I know three or four times a week my hubby will call me from work and ask some silly question and when I answer him, there is a chorus of "ah man, she's right" in the background (I hate speakerphones) |
