Gainesville 4: Boy (10), Girl (7), Boy (23 months), Boy (3 months) |
Let's talk about V-day. I have both desired it and dreaded it for many years, beginning as early as middle school. But who wants to remember those awkward years? Does anyone have any funny stories, dramatic ones, sad, happy...anything? Maybe we can share a good laugh or a few collective awwwwwwwws.

Last Valentines day I set aside some special time to make candy with the kids. We melted the chocolate and filled the candy moulds. It was so much fun! I let the kids bag up the candy to pass out to their friends, and then set aside 5 chocolate suckers I made to give to the kids from me. That morning I woke up to find the bowl holding the candy on the floor, and the candy was missing.
I immediately accused my oldest of taking the candy, (he's been known to be a candy thief in our home). But he denied taking it. It wasn't until later that day I discovered all the sticks and wrappers in my daughter's room. She took the suckers and ate every one of them. I was so upset, because this was my gift to the kids! |
