Vermont 3: Husband (33), Boy (4yrs) and Girl (1yr) |
Mine, unfortunately, lives far away. I haven't live in the area for 7 years.
How ever I did attend the wedding two years ago and still talk a lot. And yes, there is NOTHING like a conversation with your BFF... the mood is always different even with the same conversation with someone else. Thank goodness for BFFs |

NW Gainesville 3 boys (3 years, 1 year, 8 months) and a step-mom and step-grandma, too! |
Mine moved away, 11 months ago...and I haven't been right since. She hasn't even met my youngest yet, which breaks my heart. My kids and I miss her kids and her...we're very sad.
I keep hoping she'll come home.... |

My best friend is definitely my husband. I know that sounds a bit cliche', but it's very true. We met in high school and married right after. We've been married for nearly 10 years now and I couldn't be happier.
Outside of hubby, my best friend has to be my male friend from high school. I had a few female friends over the years, but it seemed like they were always so sensitive or combative. Ryan was always so nonchalant but was great for "girl talk" too. Found out later he was gay, which I'd always suspected. He and I are still in touch through Myspace and the occasional email. We were also able to meet up for lunch last fall. I miss seeing him dearly. |

I am blessed with many. But I have to say that my sisters and mom are at the top of my list. But I have a BFF from high school that no matter how long it's been since we talked we can always pick back up where we left off. We also know that we will always be there for each other no matter what.

Hawthorne 3 wonderful kids! step-son (16) son (8) girl (5) |
I haven't had a bff in years. Right now if I had to choose I would say my husband. As much as I love him, there are still a few things I don't really talk to him about because he isn't a woman.

I have 2. My hubby is one. We ARE such great friends! It makes for a happy and fun marriage.
My second one has been my friend since kindergarten. She lives in Georgia now and we don't talk all of the time, but no matter how long it has been, it seems like just yesterday. She knows all of my funny stories and my sad ones. She has never judged me, but loved me just the way that I am. |

My hubby is definitely my #1 best friend. We can, and often do, spend all of our time together and never get tired of each other
My best friend is Heather. She lives in Tampa with her husband. We were pregnant almost at the same time. She has a daughter, Alyssa, who is six, and she just had a son on March 9, 2008. She named him Jadyn Drake, which is unique and neat. We are getting together in Tampa next week so we can see each other's babies! Can't wait We talk a lot via e-mail and we've been friends for about 12 years now. She got me into Arabian horses by talking me into visiting a local Arabian horse farm and it was there that I fell in love with these horses. Now I have 3 horses and Heather and her daughter come to visit and ride them sometimes. Never often enough, though! Lisa Morales, Mom and Realtor |

I agree..the Hubby is my BFF. He is a great listener, offers great advice and is very understanding, supportive and always says exactly what I need to here (and really means it). However, there is nothing as great as girl talk w/ someone that you really connect with and understands you well. I have two BFFs that live in Jacksonville and we make an effort to see each other for a weekend every 3rd month. They do not have children though and as the years go by, I see that they probably will not have any. It is getting harder to connect with them as we have such different priorities. I LOVE them both dearly though and I never laugh harder than when we get together!

Two boys, ages 3 and 11 months |
My hubby is one of my oldest friends -- we've known each other since we were 10. It's really nice having that history together.
My best girlfriend I met in college, and she moved away about a year ago. We've visited each other a couple times, and we text each other a couple times a week. I never texted before that, but it's fun sending quick messages and photos to each other. Gotta love technology! |

Wisconsin 1: Girl (4 months) |
Of course my BFF is my husband, but if you don't count him, my BFF lives in WI and we talk at least once a week. We've been friends since 3rd grade when we were in girl scouts together. We used to plan that we were going to live next door to each other and raise our kids together. Well, that didn't happen. But it was so easy to make friends back then when we were little! Now it seems most adults only have 1, maybe 2 close friends outside of work.
But I agree, technology is amazing now, we chat with friends and family (who are up in WI) online with the web cam, which is great! We only see each other otherwise once a year if that. It's especially nice too because they can see my new daughter! Although it concerns me a little - when we were little we were confused as to why we couldn't jump inside the tv with those other people, how is it going to confuse our kids now that the people inside the computer can talk back to us? |

Hmmm...I have a couple best friends outside of my amazing husband. It's more like different friends for different needs/times in my life. I call 'S' when I want to vent, someone who will understand me totally, and be completely real but on my side. I call 'J' to get a different perspective when I'm over being mad and am ready to hear how I can change/be betterr. I call 'L' to laugh or be laughed at. I'm not sure about the "forever" part though since I have always had friends for a season but I sure do like the concept and pray these girls stick around...
