Ouchouchouch!! Maybe they missed a baby because I feel like I am having contractions, not cramps! I hear it gets worse with each birth, and guess what? It does! I never even had these cramps with babies one and two...

I remember every time I BF - those cramps would come. I can't remember all the medical reasons, but breastfeeding helps reduce the size of the uterus. It should end soon - but I remember - they hurt so badly! Feel better mama!

You're right, they intensify with breastfeeding. I am on day 4 and they still make me want to cry. I wonder how long this will last...

my friend had really bad cramps but her uterus was not reducing in size. the dr recommended she drink one glass of wine or a wine cooler at night for a few nights. he said one glass would not affect the baby at all. she was breastfeeding as well. not sure if i'm willing to bet on this but hey you deserve some comfort too!

I heard that a glass of wine is okay when breastfeeding. I can't remember what the rule is. I'll have to look it up. But I know plenty of moms who drink a glass of wine while BF'ing.

Ahhhh....finally, a sigh of relief. It took an unbelievably long week for the cramps to disappear. Yay!

Ooooh you made me cringe just thinking about those! I didn't have them with my first, and only mildly with my second, but after my 3rd - ouch!!! I wanted to cry every time it was time to nurse him because I knew the horrible cramps were coming!

They do get progressively worse. I always wonder about those women who have like 15 kids. Can you imagine the cramps with baby number 15?!
